Joseph Karg exists in two very different worlds, and through sheer tyranny of will, he makes both of them work. One day he’s illustrating for some of the most famous comedians on the planet; the next, he’s in a classroom at Kennesaw State University, teaching students how to draw like their lives depend on it. Right now, he’s deep into his first book project, Dear Bernadette—a mix of illustrations and letters to his daughter, which sounds sentimental, and IT IS, but also, it’s for film freaks and comedy fans and art process junkies.

It’s set to debut at Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC, in June 2025.
